Andy Papoutsis, Regional Director of Operations, Southern Region

Andrew Papoutsis serves as regional director of operations, Southern Region and General Manager of Hilton Bella Harbor on Lake Ray Hubbard Dallas/Rockwall. Papoutsis is chiefly responsible for the operating success and planning management of North Texas’ newest travel destination and waterfront property. With more than three decades in the hospitality industry, Papoutsis’ award-winning experience and reputation will position Hilton Bella Harbor as the premiere waterfront resort-style hotel in the Southwest.

Prior to his position with Hilton Bella Harbor, Papoutsis served as managing director and vice president of operations for Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate where he was responsible for all pre- and post-opening activity of the acclaimed 730-room golf resort. Its 1,500 acres of land, including two world class golf courses designed by Greg Norman and 60 luxury villa condominium units, offered premium expertise for his role at Hilton Bella Harbor.

During his tenure at ChampionsGate, Papoutsis earned several coveted awards in the industry including: CondeNast 2006 readers poll for Top 100 Golf Resorts in the World, Meetings & Conventions 2005 and 2006 Gold Tee Awards and achieved recognition in the overall Top 5 Omni Hotels for guest satisfaction.

Papoutsis’ career has come full circle throughout his 30-plus years in the industry. In 1973, he entered a management-training program at Palmer House Hilton in Chicago that set him on a course, which would eventually bring him back to the very brand that started it all.

After those initial seven years with Hilton, Papoutsis held positions in executive management at several prestigious brands, such as senior vice president of operations with Renaissance, Wyndham and Westin Hotels & Resorts.

A focus on superior customer service and planning management has been evident in all that Papoutsis has overseen in the industry, evident by accolades spanning his expertise. A seasoned professional, Papoutsis brings his European flair for service and style to each project leaving it in a better condition than when he first joined.

Papoutsis is licensed as a Certified Hotel Administrator and holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Math from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He served on the Board of Directors at both Atlanta’s and Orlando’s Convention and Visitors Bureau, as well of the Central Florida Hotel Lodging Association and Chicago Hotel & Motel Association.
