Paul Bazzano, Regional Director of Operations, Eastern Region
Paul Bazzano Born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, a Chef by trade, Mr. Paul S. Bazzano began perusing his career in the hospitality arena attending the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, New York. Concurrently, in 1984, he started molding his new found talents for the culinary flare working multiple facets at the Hyatt Pittsburg City Center. In a span of three years, Paul's knowledge and skills grew surpassed only by his desire to exceed expectations leading him to the Executive chefs position in 1987 opening The Royce Hotel, known now as the Crown Plaza Hotel. His career furthered through determination by becoming the Director of Food and Beverage for the Parkway East Holiday Inn in 1991. In 1993 his adventures and talents took him to Troy, Michigan where he began the role as Food and Beverage Director followed shortly thereafter by a promotion to Assistant General Manager, an arena that evoked new challenges and opportunities. Lodgian Hotels & Resorts, formerly known as Servico, capitalized on Paul's aptitude and proficiency where he was promoted to be the Corporate Director of Food and Beverage and floating General Manager followed swiftly to a Senior Director of Food and Beverage in 2000.
Over the years, Paul's understanding of the hospitality industry made him the ideal candidate to open the Hilton Garden Pittsburgh/Southpointe. In April 2001, Paul was hired as the General Manager by Gateway Hospitality Group to do just that. His connections in the community and dedication to excellence have enabled him to climb further within Gateway Hospitality Group as the Regional Director of Operations overseeing not only the Hilton Garden Inn but also the Doubletree Hotel Pittsburgh Airport.
